Dr. de Latour was able to spend 18 months in a Bone Marrow Failure research lab at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, thanks in part to a grant from AA&MDSIF in 2009. Dr. de Latour will be applying for a professorship, and is crediting his research in bone marrow failure disease with giving him the ability to do so. The time that he spent researching in the United States that AA&MDSIF provided funding for was a big part of her research, and many of the collaborations he opened during his time at the NIH are still very active. AA&MDSIF’s grant has been related to four of Dr. de Latour’s publications in the journals Blood and Haematologica.
