Zahra Pakbaz, MD

Zahra Pakbaz MD is a board certified hematologist and associate clinical professor. in collaboration with her other team members, Dr Pakbaz  provides comprehensive care for hematological disorders including bone marrow failures aplastic anemia, and MDS, Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and other rare anemias as well as Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (polycythemia vera, essential thrombocytosis, myelofibrosis) and LGL She is passionate about delivering patient-centered care to people with blood disorders, and she works collaboratively with primary care physicians and other specialists.

She completed her hematology fellowship at National Institude of Health, after her internal medicine residency at university of Maryland's’ union memorial hospital Medstar Health. She is member of American Society of Hematology, European Hematology Association and American society of transplant and cellular therapy.
