Dr. Navada is an assistant professor in the Tisch Cancer Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Subsequently, she did an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor prior to completing a hematology/oncology fellowship at Mount Sinai. She is currently completing a Masters of Science in Clinical Research in the graduate school at Mount Sinai. Her primary clinical and research interests are myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in the elderly. She will be the principal investigator of a clinical trial combining azacitidine and rigosertib in MDS patients that will soon be opening at Mount Sinai.
